A Woman's Worth...

Proverbs 31:10b (b:The second half of the sripture) ...Her Price is far above rubies.

I was in prayer this morning and I kept hearing the second part of this scripture over and over. Her price is far above rubies. We've heard these scriptures over and over comparing us to the Proverbs 31 woman. At one point, I just said forget it there is no way I will ever be able to measure up to a woman of such great stature.

I asked God, why would you choose a ruby to show me my worth and not a diamond? He began to explain to me in my research: Rubies are one of the most difficult gems to find. They are known for their durability and they withstand hard times. Known for thier luster and their rarity

According to the Gemologist Institute of America, there are only 4 precious stones in the world (sapphire, emerald, diamond, and ruby).

Since ancient times, the ruby has been considered the “king” of precious stones. As it’s been called the precious stone created by God.

The ruby has also become one of the most sought after gems. In fact, the significance of a ruby’s value has even been mentioned in the Bible.

Diamonds are valued by the four C’s commonly known as; color, cut, clarity and carat weight.

However, rubies are valued not only by the four C’s; but it’s geographic origin, and whether the stone has been treated.

If a stone is treated, it’s been heated to high temperatures to help improve the color and clarity.

Therefore, an untreated ruby that is left in its original form; has a higher value that demands a higher premium.

How does the value of a ruby stand up. One carat of a ruby can be worth OVER one million dollars.

So my sister, when you begin to question yourself on who you are...know that God compare you to that of the rarest of Gems.

When you begin to wonder if you are fit for the gifts and callings God has placed on the inside of you... the price of a gem-quality ruby will far exceed the price of a diamond of the same size.

God compares us to the gems that are used in royal crowns because our true wisdom can only come from God.

Being valued above the price of rubies renders you priceless! There is no dollar amount that can fully satisfy your worth. So do not compare yourself to dollars and cents. You are worth far more when you walk in the ways of God. You are worth far more because you are hand crafted by God. You are wonderfully and fearfully made. You are too valuable to settle for being mistreated. You are too valuable to settle for anything less than the best of what God desires for you. You are worth far more than rubies, my dear.

*UPDATE AFTER I POSTED THIS*: God is still dealing with me on this. God says our price is far above rubies, right. If we weight 170lbs in physical weight and we use the conversions to calculate our weight in carats.....this person would be 385553.5ct ruby. This isn't even the accurate weight according to God because he said our price is FAR ABOVE rubies. So If a Rubys price is over 1,000,000 per carat... we are worth a lot more than we give ourselves credit for. I could take out running!!!!.

So, Forget shining bright like a diamond! A diamond aint got nothing on a ruby.....
